Sanquan Medical College (SMC), founded in 2003, in December of the same year, was identified as an independent college by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
SMC has two campuses, one is in Xinxiang and another one is in Pingyuan , covering an area of 1908.11 mu (Chinese area unit, 1 mu = 666.67 ㎡）. Currently, it is compose of 18 schools (or departments) such as the School of Basic Medicine and the School of Nursing, 6 academies such as Renzhi and Xihe, as well as 30 administrative departments including teaching affairs department and student affairs department etc. SMC has 2 school enrollment levels ,such as full-time bachelor education (including upgrading to higher education) and college education, with 26 bachelor majors/programs, and 7 college majors/programs, which cover 5 fields of disciplines ,such as medicine, management, science, engineering and literature. Till to now, SMC has more than 22,000 registration students,

By giving full play to the critical opportunities emerged from the “Healthy China, Healthy Zhongyuan” plan and reforms of national education system, SMC has always been forging its characteristics and strengths, and established a major cluster with 5 medical services including modern medical equipment and technology, biomedicine, elder-care and rehabilitation, modern health, and medical management, with modern medical services as its core.
