On December 25, after two years of repeated demonstration and six months of fine construction, Wende Auditorium was officially put into use. It is located in the central location of the college buildings, the middle axis of the main building, and surrounded by water in three sides. With a covered area of 7136.96 square meters, the auditorium was built into an internal space that was an integration of classical and modern art, modern art aesthetic and traditional oriental charm, and beauty and function.
The main part of the auditorium is divided into multi-functional studio and the undergraduates’ activity center, and is designed to meet the needs of large conferences, seminars and theatrical performances, balancing the requirements of all kinds of student activities and perfectly realizing the function of movie showing. The multi-functional studio is fully equipped with central air-conditioning and advanced sound and light system, and can accommodate nearly 800 people simultaneously for medium-sized meetings, reports and drama performances. The undergraduates’ activity center includes the rehearsal area, the student organization area, the teacher office area and the Guidance Center of Students’ Mental Health Education. It provides the place of training, working and acting for students, creates a vast space for prospering the campus-culture and raising the students’ comprehensive quality, and lays down a solid foundation for deepening the reform of our university and developing the general education.
Wende Auditorium provides the place for fine arts into our campus and all kinds of large-scale student activities, and can hold meeting, reports and performances, thus better serving the development of the regional economy, society and culture. At present, we have successfully held the New Year Party of the four academies of RenZhi, ChongDe, DeXin and XiHe, and the perfect stage effect won the praise among teachers and students.
