Sanquan Medical College Attended Chinese Higher Education Expo 2018

   From May 8th till May 11th, Sanquan Medical college attended Chinese Higher Education Expo 2018 in Biswa Bangla Convention Center of India together with delegation of Henan Provincial Education Department. This event was organized by Consulate General of Peoples Republic of China in Kolkata and School of Chinese Language in Kolkata. Around 60 universities and colleges attended this expo including Xiamen Univertisy, Nanjing Medical University, Sias International University etc.  

  On the morning of May 10th, Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, MP and founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr. R S Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary of Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal, as well as principals of schools and Vice Chancellors of universities, executives of chambers of commerce and research institutes, Chinese and Indian teachers and students, and reporters from mainstream media houses, making up a gathering of over 1000, were present at the inauguration. Mr. Ma Zhanwu presented a welcome speech and he said that this expo was one of the measures to implement the consensus between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Wuhan. He hoped the expo would increase collaboration between China and India and welcomed more Indian students to study in China.

    During the expo, Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata visited the booth of our college by the accompany of Chen Zhaowu, Leader of Henan Higher Education delegation. Mr. Madan Saraff, President of the School of Chinese Language and Principal Sachary talked with our college representatives to know Sanquan Medical College and communicated cooperation opportunities. Besides, the delicate design of our college video, posters and brochures had attracted students and parents, among which 100 students showed great intention to study in our college. 

   This trip to India was a major measure for our college to follow one belt one road initiative. We took advantage of this opportunity to promote the international image of our college and introduced our advanced subjects to Kolkata School of Chinese Language. Furthermore, it was a great chance to communicate with peer universities, which helped us to accumulate working experiences of international students admission management.   

  During the time in India, we visited Galgotias University and Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology with delegation of Henan Provincial Education Department, which improved our cognitive understanding of Indian universities settings, academic research, laboratories etc.  

    In the future, we will keep contact with Indian students and provide professional consultancy service for them. Meanwhile, we will develop other ways to ensure college first year international students enrollment.
