On the morning of October 23, the vice president of St. Paul University from the Philippines, Dr. Dychangco M. Atilano, and the dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Olivar J. Ramelb, came to Sanquan Medical College for discussion and idea exchange while leading a delagation of four professionals. Wang Yan-jie, the vice president of Sanquan, received visitors,with the accompany of staff from our School of Nursing and Department of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Wang welcomed Dr. Dychangco M. Atilano and his colleagues firstly, and introduced the college's running situation in terms of its development history, management strategy, personnel training and international exchanges. Dr. Aatilano then introduced the history, majors, study-abroad policies and other aspects of St. Paul University. Afterwards, two sides exchanged views on talent training, teacher exchange, student exchange, academic qualification improvement and bilingual teachers’ training.
"St. Paul University is our first partner university in the Philippines, whose visit has opened up a new platform for our international cooperation. Relevant departments should strengthen the follow-up contact to promote the implementation of our cooperation intentions", said Wang Yan-jie.
Finally, Dr. Atilano and Mr. Wang signed a memorandum of cooperation on behalf of the two schools.
At the end, Dr. Atilano and colleagues visited the library, the Laerdal(International) Nursing Training Center and other facilities. Dr. Atilano spoke highly of the college’s infrastructure construction. and expressed hope to send nursing graduate students and doctoral students here for more communication.
This visit of Sao Paulo University has laied a bridge and foundation for future cooperation. Two schools will use this exchange as an opportunity to actively promote the implementation of programs such as teacher exchange, student exchange and bilingual teacher s'training.
