Recently, 35 international students from a university recently visited the National Conditions Education Base of Henan Xinxiang Vocational College of Industry and Commerce, joining the “Perceiving Zhongyuan Agricultural Valley, Embodying Mao Sui’s Spirit” activity under the “Exploring Henan, Perceiving China” program. Leaders and representatives from both institutions attended.

The Vice President of Henan Xinxiang Vocational College of Industry and Commerce welcomed the group, highlighting the base’s “agriculture+culture” model integrating Zhongyuan Agricultural Valley’s tech and Mao Sui’s hometown heritage. He noted its role in boosting inter-university exchanges.

Our university’s Vice President thanked the host and praised the base, stating it demonstrates Chinese-style modernization through integrating agri-tech with digitalization, traditional spirit with modern values, and classroom learning with practice. He urged students to decode China’s agri-tech and Mao Sui’s sense of responsibility.

The group first toured a high-standard demo-field exhibition hall, witnessing “agriculture + digital tech” achievements. As a key platform for Henan’s food security and rural revitalization, the zone showcases China’s agricultural modernization, including smart farm machinery, whole-industry chain coordination, and “Xinmai 26” rice variety. Guides helped students understand China’s “food security” commitment.

They then visited Mao Sui’s Hometown Square, hearing the “Mao Sui Volunteering” story at historical sites. Relics like a 1924 monument and cultural interpretations deepened their grasp of Chinese cultural vitality.

Yemeni student Wang Fei said, “I only knew Chinese agriculture from textbooks before. Seeing smart irrigation and ‘Xinmai 26’ firsthand shows its tech strength.” Indonesian student Xu Ruifan added, “Mao Sui’s courage aligns with medical students’ needed qualities—this culture-integrated education is inspiring.”

The “Exploring Henan, Perceiving China” series uses on-site visits to help international students understand Henan and China, showcasing Henan’s Chinese-style modernization. It expands students’ horizons and boosts inter-university cooperation.

Our university plans to further expand international exchanges, using Zhongyuan stories to promote cultural mutual learning and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
